Today I got to see a girl at Youngstown State University trust Christ, accept him into her heart for the very first time. It was ah-mazing.
My friend, Kenya and I were talking with her, and we asked what she knew about Jesus. She responded with,
"Can I be honest? Not really anything. I'm just really confused about this Jesus thing."
It was as if God was like 'DING DING DING DING....this is the girl that I set up before the beginning of time to meet you on this sunny day and talk with you at this very moment on this seemingly random bench, and come to know the intimate love I have for her, the sacrifice I made for her, the free gift of my presence that I'm offering her. I have known her since she was in her mother's womb and pursued her throughout her entire life....oh, and Megan, while I don't need you to draw this sweet girl into a relationship with me, I'm choosing to use you. I'm choosing to allow you to partner with me and reap sooo many benefits of the work I have already done in her life because I love you both so freakin' passionately.' [Except I don't think God says 'freakin'...just a guess]
'Oh, and that sunburn you're getting, is going to be a constant reminder for the next few days of this awesome conversation. K, bye.'
God is sooo good, ya'll...sexy good.
So this is my product review of talking about Jesus. I tried it, it WORKS and it's sexy awesome. I'm giving it my full endorsement.
