The first game you play pairs you up against an opposing seed. So the #1 and #16 seeds always play first, as do the #2 and #15 seeds. When filling out your bracket, if you have been following college basketball throughout the year, it's not even a question in your mind: You pick the #1 and #2 seeded team.
In fact, in the history of the tournament, there has never been a #16 seed to beat a #1 and there have only been four previous #15 seeds that have won their first round game. Well, this year we saw not one, but two upsets!!!! Norfolk State and Lehigh University played 40 minutes of amazing basketball and waltzed right into the heart of every watching fan. Well, except Missouri and Duke fans whom they beat =) They were ah-mazing games.
Picture it, Nate and I both in crouched down, screaming at our televisions as these games drew to a close. They were both close, phenomenal games. DRAMA, PEOPLE! You just can't script it this good.

P.S. The awesome state of Ohio has 4 teams in the Sweet 16. You know, only the first time EVER that's happened. What up?!?!?
