Wait, I should set the stage with probably more information about my sleeping habits than you ever cared to know...
I am not that, movie scene, wake up in the morning looking like I have eyeshadow and lipgloss on, ready to make out with my husband, type of girl.
I wake up, looking like I just got run over by a semi-truck full of something that smells weird...We'll go with anchovies.
There is nothing seductive about me in the morning. And I never ever even talk to Nate without brushing my teeth and digging the ton of sleepy out of my eyes.
To achieve this glamorous look in the morning, needless to say we are not the 'cuddle all night long' couple. Just doesn't work for us.
But, that being said, I do enjoy a good spoon =)
So last night I'm laying in bed and my husband is spooning me. He falls asleep in 5 seconds as always and I'm annoyed knowing it will take me at least another 30 minutes (as always).
Nate is always 1,000 degrees at night so therefore I'm starting to get really really hot. Then he starts to snore. But not in a rise and fall, I can get a rhythm going snore. It's like a, "I make a random loud sound whenever you start to doze off and I want to torture you" snore.
My level of annoyance is rising.
So I'm getting all out of sorts when I really start to think:
Gosh, I'm so blessed to get to share a bed with this snoring, hot (literally) man. I'm so blessed to get to wake up, looking like a train / anchovy semi-truck wreck next to him. I'm so blessed to pursue ministry on college campuses with him. I'm so blessed to build forts in our bedroom like 5 year olds, and go on donut runs at midnight with him. I'm so super, beyond blessed to just live life with him.
Annoyance ended. Husband shoved over to the other side of the bed. Temperature cooling.
Sleep finally found =)
And thus ends the most random blog post ever to be 'Published'
